HumanSpec FAQ
Science and test method FAQ
How browser timing works, what the tests can tell you, and where their limits are.
How accurate is a browser test?
A browser can provide a useful personal signal, but it is not laboratory equipment. Display refresh, browser load, input hardware, and local timing behavior influence the result.
Does HumanSpec diagnose ADHD, cognitive decline, or other conditions?
No. HumanSpec is for education and entertainment. A browser score cannot diagnose a medical, neurological, psychological, IQ, or employment-related condition.
Why do device and display matter?
The time between a visual change and the input reaching the browser includes display, operating-system, browser, and hardware behavior. Different setups can produce different ranges.
What makes a test repeatable?
Clear instructions, stable stimuli, consistent input, enough trials, and transparent scoring make a session easier to repeat and interpret.
Where can I learn more about the method?
Read the Science page and related HumanSpec articles for explanations of reaction time, memory, typing, and the limits of browser-based measurement.
